TWENTYMILE COAL COMPANY
VFD Pump building next to Electric Shop
Statement of Work
1. Objectives
Ta Build an Insulated building next to the electric shop that will house the VFD pump
skids that are now necessary to supply the water requirements for the new I.ongwall. The
building must be large enough to accommodate two VFD pump skids and drives, and allow
for ease of maintenance. Because of the equipment criticality, the second pump would act
as a spare.
2. Background
The existing pumping system that delivers water from the million gallon tank to the
underground operations is inadequate, and will not meet the requirements demanded by
the Longwall system. It has become necessary to install 150 HP, 480 Volt, variable
frequency drives to achieve our goals.
3. Requirements
3.1 Technical References
3.1.1 Refer to the attached drawings for general layout of the building to be
constructed.
3.1.2 TCC Standard Specifications available on request.
3.1.3 The building footprint is to be 20 ft. by 17 ft. to allow for the size of the
pump skids.
3.1.4 The building should be designed fora 40-psf loading, The existing roof
slope is a 12:4. The roof surface for the new structure with 2' eaves and
a 12:4 slope is 22' X 24'. The wall should be designed for a minimum
300 lb per lineal foot of wall. The foundation should be designed for the
above 300 lb per lineal foot plus the weight of the wall and building per
lineal foot.
3.1.5 The roof of the pump building will have the same slope as the existing
structure.
3.2 Contractors Tasks
3.2.1 All work performed by the contractor must conform to the TCC Standard
Specifications.
3.2.2 Provide all material, tools and equipment necessary to complete this
project.
MR06-205 EX49F-1 02/01/06
