Walther
Eaeculive Director
Michael B. LOng
Dwision Direcror
The Division has reviewed your application for the above mentioned mining operation for 7
permitted acres. All technical adequacy concerns were found to be satisfied. Also, the Division
is in agreement with a reclamation cost of $9,400. The only concern to be resolved on or before
the Apri127, 2000 decision date is to determine acceptable form of performance and financial
warranty, given the administrative constraints of the U.S. Forest Service. The Division will be
consulting with a representative of the Colorado Attorney General's Office and will respond
promptly with our request for how the warranty issue may be satisfied. Following issuance of
Permit No. M-2000-040, the existing Special 111 Operation Permit M-92-088 will be terminated
and the financial warranty provided by Duckels Construction, Inc. for such permit will be
returned. The Division would like to complement you on a fine application and thanks you for
your cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
~~?
Thomas A.
