RECLAMATION PLAN <br />• Exhibit G <br />The Coaldale gypsum operation is not expected to directly affect sur- <br />face or groundwater systems in or adjacent to the mine area. The reasons <br />for this are as follows: <br />1. No surface water is found on or in close proximity to affected mine land <br />2. Water Table in the area is more than 48 meters at the lowest elevatior. <br />on the affected land. <br />3. There are no plans for water containment, diversion, or change from <br />normal runoff systems during heavy rains or melt off from heavy <br />snows. <br />4. High porosity and permeability is characteristic of the near sur- <br />face rocks and soil in the area, resulting in minimal runoff unles=_ <br />subject to infrequent heavy precipitation. <br />5. Due to the above and that there are no toxic materials found abo-re, <br />below, or within the gypsum deposit, neighboring water systems are <br />• in no danger of contamination or change due to the mining operation. <br />• <br />
