Expected Results: The potential for historic or prehistoric resources was considered
extremely low
VI. STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES
27. The objective of this inventory was to locate and evaluate any historic or prehistoric
cultural resources within the project area that might be impacted by drilling activities associated
with the mine.
VII. Describe Survey Method: Level to moderately sloping valley floor and bench azeas were
inspected by sinuous pedestrian transects at roughly 20-30 meter intervals, as vegetation and rock
outcrops allowed.
VIII. RESULTS
30. List IFs if applicable. Indicate IF locations on the map completed for Part III.
A. Smithsonian Number: none Description:
B. Smithsonian Number: Description:
C. Using your professional knowledge of the region, why aze there none or very limited
cultural remains in the project azea? Is there subsurface potential?
This rugged terrain has few attractive resources and no favorable settings for campsites or
hunting stations. Other than the modern stock ponds, bladed roads and ATV trails, no evidence
of historic or prehistoric activity was observed here.
