TECHNICAL INVESTIGATIONS <br />/• <br />Photogeologic Investigations <br />Dr. Ronald Marrs was contracted to conduct a photogeologic <br />investigation of the area in which the Eagle Mines operate. <br />Concurrently with this study, Mr. Richard Pulse (MSHA)• <br />conducted a similar study. <br />Remote Sensing Investigation of the Eagle No. 5 Mine <br />(Richard Pulse) <br />"The Remote Sensing Laboratory of the Bureau of Mines <br />/• mapped six sets of linear directions crossing the mine <br />\_ property by use of high altitude Landsat imagery as <br />well as low altitude aerial photographs. Eight hours <br />were spent underground at the Eagle No. 5 mine on <br />October 20, 1981, observing roof conditions and checking <br />the accuracy of a lineament intersection map. A walking <br />traverse was made along the periphery of the mine <br />describing noteworthy observations on a 1:4800 scale <br />mine map. <br />"The most prominent weakness plain feature seen underground, <br />was a gravity fault striking north 30o west across the <br />western third of the mine.
