SLTiMA'.tY OF ANALYSIS
The measured permeabilities in the overburden, Sudduth
Seam and underburden were all found to be within an order
of magnitude of each other. Each unit tested demonstrates
a very low permeability.
Previous testing of overburden cores yielded permeabilities
of .05 and .02 millidarcies. The slug test results confirm
the permeabilities of the tested units to be somewhat
greater than that indicated by the core tests. Th_s
suggests some movement of water through a minimal fracture
system in a relatively impermeable groundmass. This is
further suggested by the variance in the measured
permeabilities from the slug tests of wells 1 and 1C,
both penetrating the underburden. However, in all cases,
measured permeabilities are extremely low and apparently- no
significant fracture system was encountered by the test
wells.
