Stipulation No. 2 Page 2
The previously listed chemicals are used to control PN during milling
operations and to aid in the flotation of the precious and base metals.
'tae chemicals which •contain Potassium and those marked Aero are polishing
agents, The Sodium and Aerofloat Chemicals are the flotation agents.
Many of the chemicals with the Chemical names missing are trade secrets.
We cannot obtain information from the associated company as tos the
chemical components.
We will take background water samples above the tailings pond on Imogene Creek
and 8ae¢fels Creek and on Canyon Creek below the tailings pond before operations
begin. Once milling operations begin we will take a water sample of the tailings
discharge to the pond for analysis. Once the analsis of these samples is re-
viewed by the Mined Land Reclamation Bosrd and the determination as to where
the samples should be taken, what analysis is to be done and how frequently
water samples ere to be taken and reported we will do so,
In checking our records and reports from former employees there have never
been any seeps witnessed at the toe of the tailings pond. In the event any
seeps do occur-an earthen birm will be constructed around the toe of the new
new pond (to the east and west of the present pond) and wherever possihle
around the tce of the existing pond. If seepage should occur the seep water
will be diverted to an evaporation pond to be constructed at the east end of
the pond.
