• <br />Exhibit I -Soils Information <br />The soils for this area have been mapped and described by the U.S.D.A. <br />Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), formerly the Soil Conservation <br />Service. According to the survey for Elbert County, Western Part, three mapping units <br />occur on the mine area: (16) Cushman-Kutch complex, 8 to 25 percent slopes; <br />and (39) Renohill Louviers complex, 8 to 25 percent slopes. The majority of the <br />area to be disturbed consists of the former. <br />Figure I included herein is a soils map of the area delineating the mapping <br />units. Descriptions of the mapping units and representative profiles are attached. The <br />descriptions were obtained from the soil survey. <br />-18- <br />
