Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan
Reclamation will occur concurrently with mining as described in Exhibit D. The
post mining land use will be rangeland. The final planned configuration of the area is
illustrated on the Exhibit F map included herein. The elements of the reclamation plan
are given below.
Backfilling
All overburden salvaged during the mining operation will be backfilled into the
pit using a scraper and dozer. If a secondary runoff control impoundment is created
between Phases 2 and 3, the dam will be graded and backfilled into the pond area.
However, the berm of the principal runoff collection pond will not be graded as this
feature will be left for use by the landowner as a stock water pond.
r din
The side slopes of the pit will be graded to no steeper than a ratio of 3:1 (h:v).
The pit floor will be smooth graded to form a gentle slope of around two to three
percent toward the south (the Exhibit F map illustrates the final topography ).
The final surface configuration of the lands surrounding the pit area will be
virtually identical to the existing ground surface slope and require little minor smooth
grading. In such areas the approximate original contour will occur.
Runoff Diversions
Because of the site's topographic setting at the head of a drainage divide, no
permanent runoff control diversions are necessary. However, the runoff ditches
constructed as part of storm water control may be left to assist in collecting water for
the stock water pond.
-i3-
