•
-65- •
Ward: Okay, you're withdrawing both parts so...
Turner: Okay, I'd like to reintroduce the amendment, and Jan would
you read it please?
Jory: Okay. The revised motion to amend says that: you would have a
condition of the permit that says--applications be completed and
filed within 90 days from the date of this permit for all other
operations within the state, and that these applications be
diligently pursued toward valid permits. Is that what you
want to say?
Turner: And the reason that diligently pursued is that realizing that
the staff may not have the people to pursue these, or weather
could be a problem and it may be beyond the 90 days, but at
least there's this diligence test.
Ward: Would you be willing to remove the word "completed" and just say
"be filed."
Jory: your new definition of "filed" means that the application
must be complete, so "filed" could be sufficient.
Turner:
That may be redundancy. We could remove that. "Be filed."
Jory: That applications be filed within 90 days from the date of this
permit for all other operations within the state and that these
applications be diligently pursued toward valid permits.
