• -61- •
Rindahl: If you change it to apply within the currect act, within the
period of time that Bob's talking about, I think it can be handled.
If you say that they must be properly permitted as I think the
intent of Bob's amendment was, I think we're creating a situation
that's impossible. Even with a full staff.
Ward: Well, would 90 days be sufficient with the large sand and gravel
people.
Rindahl: To apply. To apply, yes. Or Bob, if that's too much for you
say 30, 45, or 60 days to apply. But then we have the time
required by the Act for us to take our actions. Otherwise you're
imposing a burden on us that we can't handle.
Turner: Well, let me just, gee, I know what I want to say and every time
you try to say it there's another catch to it.
Sullivan: Mr. Chairman, I would move that we table this discussion until
after lunch, which would give us more time to consider the action
here, perhaps.....
Ward: There is a motion to table until after lunch the whole issue of
including the motion and amendment which are on the table, so to
speak, or before us, is there a second to the motion?
Turner: I'll second it. We can certainly wait a couple of hours.
Ward: That's not a debateable motion. All those in favor of the
motion signify by saying Aye.
(AYE)
