Y ~ ESTIMATION OF RECLAMATION COSTS
During the midterm review and subsequent correspondence estimated
cost of reclamation was updated. On July 24, 1985 CMLRD approved a
worst case bond of $10,499,000 which amount has been submitted to
CMLRD. This amount did not include the maintenance bond which was to
be calculated and submitted following the revegetation monitoring
report. However, in February 17, 1986 CYCC submitted an updated
estimate of reclamation cost which reflected the current conditions and
additionally completed reclamation. The new amount of $8,126,800 also
covered the maintenance bond. As a result, CYCC has proposed that the
existing bond of $10,499,000 be maintained as it is more than adequate
to cover current liabilities.
The reclamation costs associated with the temporary access road are as
follows:
