Valco believes it <br />is in compliance with federal and state lativs and regulations <br />governing water and water rights. There is no application of <br />the dredge law or siltation structure remoc-al requirement. <br />Wildlife habitat in the area should be improved by the <br />open pit operation and subsequent reclamation. <br />Revegetation Program. <br />The revegetation program has been adopted from recommenda- <br />tions of the Soil Conservation Service (see Exhibit I/J). <br />The plan varies from that recommended by the SCS in some <br />instances. The watering plans suggested by the SCS are not <br />feasible at this time. Should they prove to he viable at a <br />later date, they will be implemented. <br />Fertilizer. After grading, backfilling, shaping and top- <br />soiling, as discussed earlier, commercial dry fertilizer <br />with at least 40 pounds each of nitrogen and phosphate will <br />be applied to the lands to be planted. <br />Grasses.
