Cover and grade the mill tailings disposal area and
other remaining areas of disturbance with at least
12" of topsoil suitable for adequate seeding and
re-vegetation as recommended by the U.S.D.A. Soil
Conservation Service. A copy of the information
provided by the Soil Conservation Service is a part
of this permit application.
Final grading in shown on Exhibit E - Map, MLR3.
Leadville Mining 8 Milling Corp. has given permission
to the Soil Conservation Service (copy attached) to
construct test planting plots at both the mine site and mill
site areas in order that suitable re-vegetation species of
plants and grasses can be determined well in advance of
final reclamation needs. This will certainly help us in our
final reclamation work.
The mill site area is zoned Industrial-Mining. It is
our intent to direct our reclamation efforts toward final
land use devoted to wildlife habitat.
