from the prevailing northwest winds. Should any wind
erosion of tailings be visible, an inexpensive and effect
method of control would be to apply one layer of burlap
cloth held in place by a 3" open square plastic "bird
netting" cloth to the affected areas.
Dust control of the roads is not expected to be a
problem. Truck traffic at maximum mill capacity is expected
to involve only six loads hauled in tandem-axle trucks per
day.
DRAINAGE CONTROL
Normal conditions on the mill site only involve
drainage of surface water during spring snow melt
conditions. Three years of observation of water generated
by snow melt and rainfall indicate no runoff from this
property to any other.
A naturally occuring drainage channel exists on the
property (See Exhibit E - Map, MLR1). Roads and culverts
were built over and around this natural channel so as not to
disturb it. This channel provides upland drainage and
diverts water drainage, if it occurs, from the site.
This natural drainage will be maintained during the
life of the operation. Upon final reclamation, minor
changes will be made in this channel (See Exhibit E - Map,
MLR3). The natural contour of the terrain is amenable to
the proposed final reclamation plan.
