either underground or in the waste rock disposal area on
surface.
Several mine dumps exist on the property left by
previous mining at the turn of the century. It is possible
that some of these dumps may contain enough values to become
commercial ore. If we do remove any of these dumps, we will
maintain adequate drainage channels and slopes and berms to
minimize any erosion or damage to the environment.
Water for domestic use and for mining needs is obtained from
the Parkville Water District and trucked to the mine site.
Water for domestic needs.on surface is stored in a 1500
gallon cistern. Domestic water disposal is an approved
septic system.
Water for mine use is stored in a 4200 gallon capacity
steel tank housed in an insulated building and piped to the
underground workings. Water use is estimated to be 200 to
300 gallons per day.
The underground workings of the Hopemore Shaft are not
~/ wet. It is not necessary to pump water fom the mine. No
N.P.D.E.S. water discharge permit is necessary.
The mine is serviced with electric power and telephone
service. Emergency communication is by C.B. radio. Mine
telephones afford communication between surface and active
areas of the mine. Our proposed electric power for the
second exit hoisting facilities will be furnished by a
diesel electric-generating plant.
