life forms with their relative importance not exceeding 75$.
For the two vegetation communities within the affected area, the Dfountain
• Shrub community has six perennial, native species which contribute 60.4$ to
relative importance; three are cool-season grasses, one is grass-like, and two
are forbs. The Sagebrush-Snowberry community has seven perennial, native
species which have a relative importance of 67.9$; three are cool-season grasses
and four are forbs. Tables 1-5 detail species diversity which were derived from
pre-mine cover data (section 2.4 Edna's permit application).
PE,M will not necessarily revegetate the Moffat area with the plants listed
in Tables 1-5. But rather, the Mine will reestablish vegetation similar to the
relative important species with regard to life form and seasonality. No one
species will contribute over 40$ to diversity. Thus, the "Community Character",
as Sandy made reference io, will be restored. In addressing MLRD's final concern,
PF,hi will establish at least two shrub species in the Moffat area.
P$M and MLRD came to terms last September with regards to the final
resolution of stipulations 6 and 7. This letter has addressed the Divisions's
remaining concerns and restated what was verbally agreed on between PF,M and
MLRD. All that remains Carol, is for your office to officially resolve these
two stipulations, and hopefully, this won't take too long. Give me a call if
you have any questions over this material.
Sincerely,
~~~ ~~~
• Mike Campbell
Reclamation Technician
•
