probably due to a bad reading. The conductivity versus time plot
for well GA2 exhibited a declining trend from 1481 to 1485 then
exhibited a small increasing trend the last three years. The
March 1988 value is an outlier probably affected by field
measurement accuracy. The conductivity plots are similar to the
TDS trend plots for these wells with more variations in the
conductivity plots.
The GB well site employs wells GB2 and GBS to monitor the
Third White Sandstone and the HI aquifers. Conductivities
presented on Figure B-41 present a fairly steady plot of
conductivity with three outliers. Figure B-42 presents the
conductivity versus time plot for well GBS. Overall, the plot
presents decreased values the past few years than data from 1981
• to 1984. Conductivities for the well GBS during the last four
years have remained fairly stable although approximately 200
micromhos lower than earlier data. Changes in the Third White
Sandstone aquifer at this well are thought to 6e within the range
of natural fluctuation. These changes in conductivity in water
from well GB5 are probably natural but could have been influenced
some by the adjacent mining. Conductivity and TDS data have
varied similarly in these two wells.
Well GCI monitors the H aquifer at the GC site on the far
east side of the Trapper Mine permit area at least two and one-
half miles from the active mining. Figure B-43 presents the
conductivity data for well GC1. Some variation is present
throughout the plot. Concentrations have risen slightly in the
last few years. Well GC2 is completed in the Third White
3-10
