The magnet is moved
from its operating position to dump any collected tramp iron.
Conveyor BC-102 discharges into a steel stacking tube which forms a 5,000 ton open conical storage pile. The
design capacity of BC-102 is ],200 tons per hour. However, the amount of coal it will carry is a function of hovv
much coal the slope conveyor can deliver.
The expansion of the mine to ] 0 million tons per year, although this tonnage may increase if market conditions
warrant, will require additional conveyors and facilities, which will replace the above, to handle the increased
production. This will include increasing the size of the conveyors (all conveyors will have partial enclosures) to
handle the increased production. The existing transfer building will remain and another transfer building was
constructed to the south of the existing building.
