indahl &
2. Approximately 20 acres are currently disturbed that will
require topsoil or overburden (growth medium)
replacement. With 25,000 yards of overburden and 1,215
cubic yards of "topsoil" left from the original stripping L_...
and approximately 32,266 cubic yards of overburden, a
deficit of approximately 6,000 cubic yards will exist.
This deficit will be made up of er.cess material from the
mining area included in the amendment. (Exhibit E 12-24"
available and 6-12" replaced).
With testing and proper amendments, topsoil and
overburden available may 6e used as a growth medium. By
using existing material from the original permit area and
excess from the amended area, sufficient medium will be
available for 12" replacement as originally agreed and 6-
12" as recommended in the amendment application. Some overburden is being sold by the operator as road v
base material, riprap and other aggregates.
3. The operator does not contest the random planting of
cottonwood, American plum, Golden current, Chokecherry v
and Mt. Mahogany seedlings.
4. The operator concurs with the staff recommendation to
drop the commitment for irrigation of upland areas.
Since the current permit and lease only require grazing /~
on the lower area, no irrigation requirement will be
initiated. If and when the lease is changed to irrigated
meadow, the operator will initiate a technical revision
for the Board's consideration to change the seed mir, to
hay meadow with irrigation. `
5. The operator agrees to insuring that the grading of the /
bottom lands adjacent to the Creek will 6e such that the
drainage will be in a generally downstream direction.
.i 0 K
n 6.
