Is the proposed reclamation bond adequate to insure reclamation (Rule <br />4.2.5)? <br />(Bradley, 10/23/98), (19) <br />DMG Response: The applicant is required to post a performance warranty and a <br />financial warranty in the amount of $80,000.00 prior to mining to ensure <br />reclamation of the site is performed in accordance with the Rules and the permit <br />requirements. Bond includes a cost for backfilling 6 acres of affected pit (max <br />disturbance azea), reclaim the haul road, topsoil 6 acres of affected land, <br />revegetate the affected area and wetland azea & mobilization demobilization. <br />All adequacy items have been addressed by the applicant as well as <br />comments/concerns raised by the objectors. The Division recommends that the Board <br />approve the 112 permit application for Johnson Excavation Company's Tellier Gravel Pit <br />application (Permit No. M-98-058) over objection to the application. <br />
