Significant Spills and/or Leaks
The New Thornton facility is a new operation of CAMAS Colorado, Inc. No records
have been discovered indicating that any significant spill events have occurred at the
property from the three years prior to permit certification to the present.
3.b.2 Best Management Practices
The following practices are representative of measures employed within the Sand &
Gravel Industry for limiting pollution associated with stormwater runoff. The specific
practices listed below should not be construed as practices that are mandatory or
that there is any need on the part of an operator to justify non-use of a particular
practice. The intent of BMP's is to effect a measure of control over the water quality
of stormwater discharges. The practices selected by an operator to achieve control of
water quality may vary over the life of the industrial operation.
