EFFLIIENT LIMITATIONS AND MONITORING REQOIREMENTS <br />• Tha SWMP shall describe all areas that have not been previously <br />permitted, and which meat the definition of a stormwater discharge is d0 <br />CFR 122.26. 8xamplea of such areas are roads and railroad lines used <br />for transportation to and from the nits, outslopas of ponds, inaetiw <br />loadouts, sits used !or storage and maintenance of material handling <br />equipment, sad areas granted small area ezamptions. <br />Where aacaeaary, the plan shall include a schedule of activities sad/or <br />construction with a reasonable timetable for implementation o! any new <br />operations os constrnetioa of new lacilitie^ accessary to achieve the <br />required goals. The timetable shall allow !or attainment o! operational <br />level as cxpadieatly as possible, but is no case alter dune 30. 1995, in <br />conlozmance with Part 402(p)(6)(A) o! the Federal Clean Water Act. <br />a) SWMP Contents <br />The SWMP shall include the following items, at a minimum: <br />1) Site flap <br />The plan shall provide a site map or maps which indicate, at a <br />minimum: <br />- Mining site boundaries <br />• = Acceae and haul roads <br />Stormwater outfalls and an outline of the drainage area of each <br />etormwater outfall <br />- An estimate of the direction of flow <br />- Materials handling areas <br />- Each existing structural control measure to reduce pollutants <br />in atormwater runoff <br />- Areas used for storage or disposal of overburden, materials, <br />soils or wastes, including tailings piles or ponds <br />- Areas used for mineral milling and proceaeing <br />- Springs, etreama, wetlands and other surface waters <br />- Location of mine drainage or any other process water discharge <br />points <br />- boundary of area that contributes runoff to outfalls that are <br />subject to effluent limitations guidelines. <br />- Date the map was prepared <br />2) Description of Potential Pollutant Sources/Material Inventory <br />The plan shall provide a description of all potential sources <br />(activities and materials) which may reasonably be expected to add <br />pollutants to stormwatar discharges. Such eourcea may include <br />haul roads, equipment etoragc and maintenance areas, fuel storage <br />areas, etc. <br />In each case where etormwater pollution potential exieta, <br />. appropriate preventive measures must be taken and documented. <br />Amended 10/13/94 Effective 11/13/94 <br />
