The license herein Granted shall extend to so much of the lands along the above described center line lying oa either side of said center line as may be necessary for the proper use and exercise of this license; provided, however, that in no event shall the Gas Company have the right to occupy or use this license with resuect to anv lands of the ^ornoration vrhich are more than fifteen (15) feet distant from the a: oresaid line. The pipe line shall be laid not leas than 24 inches below the surface of the ground unless different specifications be first approved by the L4anager, Land and Water Department, of the Corporation. {7h ere such pipe line ,is installed on a hillside which might create z problem oP erosion -caused by surface waters running down through the cut through which the pipe line is installed, then in such event the Gas Company shall construct dikes across the cut to divert the runoff at all places reasonably necessary to prevent erosion. 4.
