<br />EXHIBIT "D" <br />MlninR Plan <br /> <br />Twenty percent (20;8) to thirty percent (309b) of the surface area of the <br />proposed pit has historic use as a sand and gravel pit. Topsoil of the <br />remaining surface area is gravelly alluvial soil, therefore very little <br />of the topsoil removed x111 be stored for future reclamation use. <br />Sand and gravel materials x111 be removed xith front-end loaders and <br />dozers and screened and crushed xhen necessary. Removal x111 start at <br />the North end and xork South. The pit is served by County Road No. 10~. <br />There x111 be no groundxater or surface rater rights involved in the <br />operation. No rater table is anticipated to be encountered in the excavation. <br />The present area being mined is less than 10 acres, as shorn on the map. <br />The total affected area x111 be 29 acres more or less, as shorn on the map. <br />The materials to be mined x111 be sand and gravel to be used for road surfacing <br />material by the City of Salida and Chaffee County. <br />The depth of this excavation is expected to be 25-30 feet. <br />Excess drainage x111 be diverted xith shallox diversion ditches xhich will <br />be removed as part of the final reclamation. <br />
