Excavation crews placed and compacted on-site borrow material for the dam embankment <br />for Sedimentation Pond 010, adjacent to Haul Road Y-8. <br />We obtained one sample of borrow matenal for Checkpoint Proctor detertnmation. Checkpoint matched curve No. <br />t2 for this job. <br />Remarks: <br />The matenal tested generally met protect specifications. Compaction ranged from 95% to 96% and moisture <br />contents ranged from 1.5% to 2.0% above opdmum. <br />We observed that crews had discovered a borrow area which yielded matenal with a much improved moisture <br />content than previous borrow areas. <br />Please refer to the attached sneer for results of todays testing. <br />Verbal Discussions: <br />Chuck McCulich, of Seneca Coal Company, was notified of today's test results. <br /> <br />
