• 2.05.3 <br />Pump House <br />A pre-engineered meta! building designed to house the pump station which <br />supplies water to the mine operation. The pump house is located along the <br />Deer Trail Ditch. The building is approximately 18' X 12' with a 8-foot eave <br />height. <br />Coal Storage Piles <br />Coa{ is stored in one of two open stockpiles at the D-Seam portal level. The <br />coal storage piles are; 1) run-of-mine and 2) stoker coal. Up to 100,000 tons <br />will be stored in the piles at any one time. A stacking tube is used to transfer <br />the coal into the run-of-mine coal stockpile in order to minimize segregation <br />and air particulate emissions. A radial stacker is utilized to stockpile the <br />stoker coal. <br />At the 8-Seam portal bench, a radial stacker will be utilized to stockpile the <br />run-of-mine coal. Up to 5,000 tons of coal will be stored at the B-Seam coal <br />stockpile. <br />• The downhill conveyor will eliminate the need for the crushed coal pile at the <br />D-Seam portal bench. The downhill conveyor will transport crushed coal to <br />the coal storage pile located along old State Highway 133. Up to 350,000 <br />tons of coal will be stored in the new highway stockpile. <br />Downhill Conveyor Transfer Buildino <br />The downhill conveyor transfer building is a structural steel building where <br />the transfer belt from the crushing and screening building terminates. The <br />coal transfers to the downhill conveyor. The dimensions of the building are <br />approximately 16 feet by 16 feet by 25 feet high. <br />Stacking Tubes <br />The 2"XO" coal is stacked at the highway stockpile by three concrete tubes <br />to minimize coal segregation and air particulate emissions. One tube is <br />approximately 100-feet high, one is 120-feet high and the third is 130-feet <br />high. They are 12-feet in diameter and are equipped with 4-foot square <br />openings to allow coal to flow from the tube to the stockpile area.
