(GEO-HYDRO) was authorized by Colorado <br />Westmoreland, Inc. (CWI) to perform the Phase I geotechnical <br />studies, related to the integrity of the surface facilities at <br />the mine. The Phase 1 studies are terminated, and a draft report <br />"Geotechnical Review, Orchard Valley Coal Afine, Paonia, Colorado, <br />for Colorado Westmoreland. Inc." was submitted to CWI on July 1, <br />1981. In this report, the program for the Phase 2 geotechnical <br />studies has been outlined. <br />On July 10, 1981, a meeting was held at the offices of the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. The meeting was attended <br />by the representatives of CMLRB, CWI, Merrick S Co., and GEO-HYDRO. <br />At this meeting, results of the Phase 1 studies were presented and <br />discussed in detail; the work of Phase 2 was outlined and dis- <br />cussed as well. <br />
