EXHIBIT I (Cont'd).
1
4. Truckton Sandy Loam - This soil is somewhat similar to
the Newlin Series but occur s on mo re gradual slopes and
' was found only on the first ridge to the south of the
mine. Salvage and topsoil quality is similar to the
t Newlin but would be a much better soil by itself.
t Salvage to 12" is sufficient.
5. Bresser Series - This soil is much less common on the
site than the SCS survey indicates and was found only
to the southeast and east of the present mine on the
moderately steep slopes. The soil is somewhat sandy
' but has sufficient clay to make it a fairly productive
soil that could be salvaged to at least 12" depth.

6. Louviers Series - This is a very heavy clay soil of
' exceedingly poor characteristics that would be very
poor for topsoil. It was found in only one small patch
'
of about 100 square feet extent. It is surrounded by
' both Satanta and Newlin soils and, if mixed with them,
would produce a good plant growth medium. Chemically
' there is no hazard in this soil. Texture is the main
difficulty.

7. Sampson loam - This fine loam soil is found in only one
small area just inside the north boundary of the
' quarter section. It is, by far, the most productive
J
- 27 -
