4-34
• During the 1980 growing season areas of Greasewood within
the Munger Canyon permit area potentially affected by dis-
turbance assoicated with the mining haul road were quanti-
tatively sampled;~nd the data incorporated into the Munger
Canyon permit application. During this same growing season,
additional quantitative sampling was conducted in areas (both
within the permit area and in the permit revision area) poten-
tially affected by future facilities developments. For this
report all the Greasewood sample data has been combined for
a description of the total disturbance to the community.
This data has been compared to the reference area to determine
the comparability.
The haul road to the waste dump and the conveyor belt system
primarily affect Greasewood Shrubland and include minor
disturbances to the Juniper Woodland, Shadscale Wildrye,
and Agricultural areas. All of the Greasewood along the
• haul road except a small area extending north from the Munger
Canyon permit area boundary to the McClane Canyon permit
boundary was sampled during the 1980 growing season. 'fie
:Small Juniper Woodland and Shadscale wildrye shrubland are
effectively described by qualitative observations of the
vegetation types in the area of planned refuse disposal.
•
