° The minimum flow SEDCAD+ would accept for an erodible channel is 0.1 cfs. The proba-
• ble runoffs from watersheds 1 (Enclosure 5), 9E (Enclosure 17) and 9W (Enclosure 14), and
flows in D-SE (Enclosure 12) and D-SW (Enclosure 12), from a 10-year, 24-hour event are
negligible. A flow of 0.1 cfs was used in this analysis for the review of interceptor ditches
D-SE and D-SW.
5 See Enclosure 5. 6 See Enclosure 8
' See Enclosure 7 s See Enclosure 9
9 See Enclosure 11 10 See Enclosure 10
" See Enclosure 12 '2 See Enclosure 15
13 See Enclosure 14 16 See Enclosure 19
15 See Enclosure 17
'6 No allowable velocity designated. However, the capacity of culverts in
this SAE analysis was reviewed by use of nomographs (see Paragraph 5). All culverts placed
are corrugated metal pipe (CMP), 12-inches in diameter, 26-feet long, and placed on a 2 %
slope. The intakes are mitered into the slope, and the outfalls are unrestricted. That these
standard sized culverts meet design requirements is illustrated in the following table.
Table 7-2 Culvert Designs'
SAE Area Culvert Maximum Culvert
Number Anticipated Capacity
Discharge (flowing full)
(cfs) (cfs)
Undisturbed areas above Ditch D-4 C-1 0.132 2.33
and the road from below the Top-
soil Storage Pile to the Fan Bench
Staging Area (west portion) C-3 0.226 I 2.3'
Staging Area (east portion) C-4 0.278 2.39
' See Enclosure 1 for a key to locations
2 See Enclosure 10 3 See Enclosure 13
6 See Enclosure 17 ' See Enclosure 20
s See Enclosure 21 9 See Enclosure 24
(Lone Pine Gulch SAES Demonstration, 12 October 95, Page l I of 13)
