~ks and Gesso, LLC
Vona Sandv Loam, 0 to 1 percent slopes (VoA). The wind deposited Vona soils
are made up of well drained, nearly level to moderately sloping soils, primarily on
uplands, although the Vona Sandy Loam, 0 to 1 percent slopes, is found on river
terraces. Runoff from this soil is slow, and the hazards of water erosion and soil
blowing are only slight.
This soil has a sandy loam, non-calcareous surface layer. Subsoil is a non-
calcareous, coarse sandy loam, with light brown underlying sandy loam that is
highly calcareous with lime visible in splotches. Vona soils absorb water rapidly;
and its water capacity is moderate. Permeability is rapid, and the entire soil is
suitable for plant roots. Vona soils are slightly limited as foundation material for
low buildings and present a moderate hazard of soil blowing in borrow areas.
124 Estates -Regular 112 Application 01029.WD
124`" Estates Partners Iq August 2001
