• 2.05.4(2) Reclamation Cost Estimates (continued)
As of the end of 1995, only 11.12 acres were disturbed and all except for 1.2 acres of
the sediment pond and dam and 0.37 acres for the access road were reclaimed. These
structures are to remain.
The original bond of $62,000 was reduced in 1994 due to a Phase 1 release of $31,000.
As of the end of 1995, the current bond is $31,000 through Corporate Surety No.
124169933.
The Division has re-calculated the remaining costs for reclamation at the mine in
October of 1995. This cost estimate totaled to $15,260. Since this cost does include the
cost of removing the sediment pond and since the actual bond held is much higher due
to the mine closing before full disturbance was~ealized, Rimrock may seek a bond
reduction during the next permit term.
The updated Division reclamation cost summary calculations are included in the
following pages. The detailed cost estimates, as well as the original bond summary
costs, are included in Exhibit SS.
•
-3-
• Revised for permit renewal 11/17/95
