Both locations are
sampled on a semi-annual basis.
Water analysis data for both Upper and Lower Hayden Gulch indicate all water quality
parameters are within the range of previously observed values. No September sample was
obtained from the Upper Hayden Gulch site as there was no flow then. Results of surface water
sample analyses are presented in Exhibit 1.
2.2 GROUNDWATER
HG Coal Company continued groundwater monitoring at the reclaimed minesite and reclaimed
shop areas.
The HG2 well is monitored down dip of the reclaimed minesite for water quality and water
level.
