' EXHIBIT D
RECLAMATION PLAN

1. Overburden
The operations being permitted under this pla n will not involve
the removal of any overburden material. The proposed activities
1 at both the Bates-Hunter mine and the Golden
areas that have been extensively disturbed Gilpin mill are in
by past operations.
As a result, no topsoil or overburden will be disturbed.
In general, if any topsoil is encountered during the proposed
operations, the topsoil will be salvaged and stockpiled for
reclamation purposes. Topsoil stockpiles will be seeded and
' stabilized to eliminate wind and water erosion.
2. Final Slopes
No act:ivities, such as overburden removal, open pit mining, etc.,
are being permitted under this plan. However, CCCM agrees to
reclaim any rock material generated under this plan to final
' slopes of 3:1 prior to reclamation.
3. Topsoil Thickness
' Because the areas being permitted under this plan have been
extent>ively disturbed by past operations, there is very little,
if any, topsoil available for salvage. It is not possible to
commit to the thickness of topsoil to be used in reclamation
activities but any topsoil salvaged will be evenly distributed on
the reclaimed tailings area to promote vegetation.
' ~. Seeding
' Seeding associated with reclamation activities will occur in
either early spring or late fall. Fertilizer or other
enhancements will be determined by soil testing after the area is
covered with the best available material. The seed bed will be
' disceci to minimize compaction and provide for best adsorption of
precipitation and soil amendments.
5. Seed Mix
The seed mixture shown in Table 1 is proposed for the areas to be
' recla:med under this plan.
6. Seeding Method
Seed will be mechanically broadcast and either raked or walked in
with +a tracked vehicle.

D 1
