• B~s and Gesso, LLC
EXHIBIT E -RECLAMATION PLAN
The primary post-mining land use for the Green/Croissant Property Sand and
Gravel Mine permit area will be wildlife habitat. Post-mining use of the property
as wildlife habitat and/or limited residential development is consistent with
floodplain constraints. Approximately ten acres in the northwest corner of the
property will be reclaimed as natural pasture in order to allow for potential future
commercial development, as indicated in the Johnstown Master Plan. No
wetland indicators are present in the vicinity of Cell 2. Future mining in Cells 3
and 4 would occur under a U.S. Army Corps of Engineer's 404 permit if, and
where, wetland indicators persist following upkeep and repair of degraded
irrigation ditches. The overall reclamation plan is described in detail below.
The post-mining land use of the overall property will be large-lot residential with
wildlife habitat areas and potential commercial development in the northwest
corner of the property. Reclamation using native grasses is assumed for the
purposes of Division of Minerals and Geology bonding. The Reclamation Plan
assumes the cost for restoration of the mining area as unlined ponds and
agricultural or rangeland uses.
Reclamation Process
Land disturbance on the permit area will begin with grubbing of vegetation and
removal and stockpiling of topsoil prior to mining. Total disturbed areas (the
affected area), including potential wetland mitigation areas, can be seen on
Exhibit C-3, Mining Plan Map, Topsoil will be utilized for future surface
reclamation as aplant-growth medium.
GreeNCroissant Property Sand and Gravel Mine.CDMG.112 Pemtlt 20023
Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, Inc. 13 ~~ 2~1
