• ~ks and Gesso, LLC <br />EXHIBIT D -MINING PLAN <br />Overview <br />The Applicant proposes to develop the site as a sand and gravel mine with a <br />ready-mix concrete batch plant operation. <br />The property will bedry-mined. An aggregate processing plant and other related <br />facilities will be located in the northwest corner of the Loveland Ready Mix <br />property. As mining is completed, backfill will be placed against mined slopes as <br />part of concurrent reclamation. <br />The post-mining Land use of the overall property will be large-lot residential with <br />wildlife habitat areas and potential commercial development in the northwest <br />corner of the property. Reclamation using native grasses is assumed for the <br />purposes of Division of Minerals and Geology bonding. The Reclamation Plan <br />assumes the cost for restoration of the mining area as unlined ponds and <br />agricultural or rangeland uses. <br />Minino Methods -Rule 6.4.4(a1 <br />The Applicant proposes to dry-mine the property. The initial mining will occur <br />near the northwest corner of the property and move eastward toward the mining <br />limits. Cell 1 contains gravel to a depth of 24 feet. After sand and gravel have <br />been fully recovered from Cell 1, overburden will be replaced on non-wetland <br />areas and the remaining areas of shallow excavation will serve as a water supply <br />pond. Slope backfill will then begin as soon as the mining limits have been <br />reached in Cell 2. <br />The Applicant intends to comply with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers <br />requirements for mining in wetland areas.
