• 2.05.6.3.2 SURFACE WATER (continued) <br />Surface and Groundwater Monitoring Plans <br />Groundwater <br />During the first permit term, which began in 1989, the following groundwater sources were <br />monitored on a quarterly basis with all field parameter test and lab analysis submitted to the <br />division in the annual reports. <br />(1). USGS Well <br />(2). Montoya Dug Well <br />(3). Hole 29-4 <br />(4). Engleville Mine Discharge <br />A revision was approved on March 27, 1995 to discontinue monitoring of all sources due to the <br />established data which showed little fluctuation in the well conditions and water quality. Also, the <br />mine had ceased operations and had been reclaimed, so that no new effects were possible. <br />• <br />Surface water <br />The sediment pond is monitored and sampled according to the requirements or the NPDES <br />permit.
