Section &16.67 (b) Continued. <br />• a modified equation where the peak particle velocity of 1 inch per <br />second required in Section 816.56 (i) would be exceeded. <br />Energy Fuels will not use a modified equation to determine maximum <br />weight of explosives per delay for blasting, but will use the <br />explosive equation of paragraph (1)(1) 30 CFR 816.65. <br />(c) The regulatory authority may require a seismograph record of any or <br />all blasts and may specify the locaticn at which such measurements are <br />taken. <br />Energy Fuels will promptly conduct seismograph tests upon the <br />request of the regulatory authority at any specified location. <br />Section 816.68 Use of explosives: Records of blasting operations. <br />• A record of each blast, including seismograph reports, shall be retained <br />for at least 3 years and shall be available for inspection by the regu- <br />latory authority and the public on request. The record shall contain <br />the following data: <br />(a) t7ame of the operator conducting the blast. <br />(b) Location, date, and time of blast. <br />(c) Name, signature, and license number of blaster-in-charge. <br />(d) Direction and distance, in feet, to the nearest dwelling, school, <br />church, or commercial or institutional building either-- <br />(1) NOt lOCated i.. tfle permit 3rea~ Or <br />(2) Not owned nor leased by the person who conducts the surface mining <br />• activities. <br />816-85 <br />
