OPERATION PLAN - RULE 2.05.
•
As stated on page 2.05.1 of the Bear Coal Company permit application for
the No. 3 Portals, the Bear Coal Company will submit detailed
information regarding the mining of the B, E, and F Coal Seams within
future five-year permits. Future mining on these coal seams will be by
the same methods and techniques as that proposed for mining the C Coal
Seam. Mining in the G Coal Seam will proceed mining in the B Coal Seam
and later the E and F Coal Seams, with eventual mining in all seams
being similar to the mining in the C Coal Seam. The anticipated annual
coal production from mining in the other seams will be the same rate as
projected for the C Seam -- 275,000 tons of coal per year.
The measures to be used to maximize the use and conservation of the coal
resources from all seams, including the C, B, E, and F Coal Seams, are
described on page 2.05-3 of the permit revision. Mining from the
additional coal seams will utilize the same facilities as those utilized
• by the C Coal Seam. All seams are superimposed on each other so no
additional area, other than that proposed in the permit revision, will
be required.
•
-36-
