• reclaimed will be salvaged. The road surface will then be ripped, seeded
with the approved revegetation seed mixture and mulched.
Skyline Drive will be retained in its current configuration. This
road is necessary to provide access to private communication facilities and
access to the county road along the southern border of the permit area. A
profile of Skyline Drive is depicted on Exhibit 3.5-19. Culverts to be
retained in association with this road include: SKl, SK2. SK3 and SKS.
The Lower Moffat Road will be a light use road and consist of a
narrowed version of the current Lower Moffat Haulroad. This road will be
retained to access the lower slopes of the Moffat area and also the Moffat
Pond. The surfaced portion of the roadway will be narrowed to have a
maximum width of 20 feet. Narrowing of the road surface will be performed
in the same manner as described for the North Road. A profile of this
roadway is shown on Exhibit 3.5-11. A typical cross-section for this road
is shown on Exhibit 3.5-Sb. Culverts to be retained in association with
this road include: MAC#8, MAC#3, E6, E7 and ES.
The west Ridge Road will be a light use road and consist in-part of a
• narrowed version of the current west Ridge Haulroad as well as an extension
of that road to enable access to the west Ridge and Center Ridge Ponds.
The surfaced portion of the roadway which is coincident with the current
West Ridge Road will be narrowed to a maximum width of 20 feet. Narrowing
of the road surface will be performed in the same manner as described for
the North Road. A profile of this segment of the roadway is shown on
Exhibit 3.5-18. Specific cross-sections for this road are shown on
Exhibits 3.5-33, 3.5-34, 3.5-35 and 3.5-SC. The location of the cross-
sections is provided on Exhibit 3.5-1, Sheet 2 of 2. The extension of the
roadway to the ponds will also have a maximum width of 20 feet and surfaced
with gravel. Culverts to be retained in association with this road
include: C1 and C2. Additionally, a cross-over ditch will be installed to
route drainage from the downhill side of the road to the uphill side
approximately 100 ft upgradient of culvert C1. This will enable downslope
drainage to be controlled and released in an non-erosive fashion. Results
of a SEDCAD+ computer simulation of the cross-over ditch as follows:
a
•
TR-35 3.5-6a July 21, 1997
