INC.
PERMIT t!M-96-081 ADEQUACY REVIEW
Dear Mr. Graham:
The Division has reviewed your permit application and has the following comments:
EXHIBIT B -Site Description
DEPARTMENT Ot .
IvATURAI
RESOURCE`
Ruy Romer
Covemor
lames s Lncnnead
f tec W ive Direclrn
r.LChael B Long
Division Dneclor
I. The operator has identified seven man made structures that will be within 200 fee[ of the
permit area.
a. Do any of these man made structures, other than the water supply line, and metal
building which houses the city of Cripple Creek's water treatment plant and the
telephone line belong to the operator?
b. Please demonstrate why your operation will not impact these structures that do
not belong to the operator during mining and if these structures will be impacted,
how would the operator compensate the owner's of these. structures.
EXHIBIT C -Mining Plan
I. Under Exhibit A the operator had stated that there may be some gold production that
would be incidental but no processing will take place at the site.
a. Is the operator planning to produce gold from the same ore that will be mined
during [he turquoise operation?
b. What kind of procedure will be used to produce the gold. Please give a brief
narrative.
The mining plan calls for mining to be at 55 degrees. However, during the field investigation it was
noted that the area south of your disturbance appeared to be mined at angles steeper than 55 degrees.
Is your operation not going to exceed 55 degrees? If it is going to exceed 55 degrees please provide a
pit wall stability to show that even at a steeper angle [he wall will remain stable.
