<br />UPLAND GRAVEL <br />SITE DESCRIPTION <br />7.) ADJACENT USES: <br />The proposed site is entirely surrounded by land owned by the applicant or County <br />Road R.O.W. (D 1/4 Road). The surrounding land is proposed to become an AFT <br />subdivision while the extraction of the gravel deposits (Grading Plan) takes place. An <br />existing gravel operation (Denison Pit) is located in the NE 1/4 NE 1/4 of Section 19 <br />approximately 3500 feet Southwest of this site. Excel Energy has a 42.5 foot wide <br />electric transmission line easement adjacent to the West boundary of the site and <br />approximately 130 feet North of the site which contain the only permanent man made <br />structures (power poles) within 200 feet of the site.. <br />8.) SURROUNDING USES: <br />The closest permanent occupied structure is an existing single family residence (Duffy), <br />located on a 1.05 acre site approximately 500 feet to the Northwest of the proposed <br />site. Approximately 700 feet North of the site are three other residences along the <br />improved portion of 35 Road <br />Two of the residences on the East side of 35 Road were surrounded by peach orchards <br />which are now being removed. A vacant fans labor house converted to cold storage, <br />exists along D 1/4 Road approximately 1000 feet East of the end of 35 Road. East of <br />the site is BLM which contains several electrical transmission lines, Orchard Mesa <br />Canal No. 2 and a Ute Water 24" Main. South of the site is vacant land comprised of <br />sparsely vegetated 35 plus acre parcels. <br />
