• A detailed estimate of the reclamation costs associated with the Fish Creek Tipple is found on Pages 2.05-28
through 2.05-33 of Volume VIII, Fish Creek Tipple/I.oadout Appendix. Other bond calculations can be found in
Appendix A, Volume I-B.
(cl Allan for backfilling, soil stabilizine, compactine, and gradine, with postminina contour maps and
appropriate cross-sections that are typical and representative of the anticipated character of the final surface
configuration of the pmposcd permit area, in accordance with 4.14. for stream channel reconstnictiat in accordance
with 4.05.4, and for road removal or modification in accordance with 4.03..
RESPONSE
Portal Area
The rough grading of the spoils at the portal area shall be accomplished by pushing the old spoil into the pit.
Dozers will be utilized to cover and rough grade the refuse area with spoil material. The material storage yard site
shall be restored by pushing the fill portion of the yard back into the cut area as shown on cross-sections B-B and
C-C on Map 25, Surface Area Cross-Sections. The access/haulroad shall be regraded by pushing the fill portions
into the cut areas. The spoil material will be compacted, graded and stabilized by the equipment used to place the
spoil materials. Map 31, Post Mining Topography, and cross-sections AA, B-B, D-D, E-E, F-F, G-G, H-H and Y-1
on Map 25, Surface Area Cross Sections, show the final surface configurations in detail. The upland divisions are
shown on Map 25, cross-section HH/YY. The design for these channels is located in exhibit 8-R,
Grading operations shall be conducted to reinstate the approximate original contour and to avoid the creation of
long uninterrupted slopes. Since there are no steep slopes in the proposed permit area, cut and fill terraces will not
be installed. Grading will result in an undulating topography, thereby increasing moisture infiltration, reducing
runoff potential, and minimizing erosion. Topsoil will be distributed as shown on Map 29, Reclamation.
• Portal Slooe Heatine System
Upon completion of mining, the slope heating system will be dismantled and the small building will be removed.
The concrete pad will remain in place and will be buried during reclamation of the portal area.

~~~xg~~•d;~~ APR 2 4 2000
Permit Renewal No. 3 2.05-99 4/1/99
