• The pumping of thickener underflow into the abandoned workings will not have an impact on the active <br />mine operations. The underground pipeline will be monitored/inspected as part of the <br />weekly mine inspections that are performed at TCC. The inspections will be conducted to determine if <br />there are any leaks or broken fittings in the line. <br />The permanent monitoring well for this activity is the 10 Right dewatering well which is utilized to pump <br />water from the gob area. The water level in the 10 Right sump is monitored from this location. The stratum <br />underlying the abandoned mine works includes mostly shale and siltstone for l0 feet below the coal seam. <br />The gradient of the proposed settling area ranges from 3.5 to 12 degrees toward the 10 right dewatering <br />borehole sump. <br />2.0.4 Reclamation Plan <br />(I) Each application shall contain a plan for reclamation of the lands within the proposed penni[ arcs, <br />showin~~ how the applicant will comply +vi[h environmental protection performance standards of [he rekulatury <br />oroeram.
