III IIIIIIIIIIIII III Doc Date:12/11/2001 <br />sss <br />_ SECTION 1.0 1996 Annual Reclamation Report <br />As specified by the revisions (1/3/90) to 2CCR 407-2, 2.04.13, page 74, Trapper Mine is submitting an <br />Annual Reclamation Report for the previous calendar year (1996). <br />Historically, section 3.5.3 of Trapper's mining and elctamation penult required a reclamation map be <br />submitted to the CDMG annually by March 15. Subsequent to 1988 the map entitled the "Postmine <br />Contour Map" has changed to "Reclamation Map.' The redamation map developed from aerial pho- <br />tographs taken during the previous fall shows pit advancements, recontoured spoil areas and a <br />historical account of the previously regraded areas for the year. <br />The 1998 reclamation map is a composite of the aerial photographs taken in November 1996, and <br />shows the reclamation performed during 1996 for all areas under bond. Map(s) 1.0 show the aerial <br />extent and location of mature shrub clumps, disturbed acres, graded acres, topsoiled acres and <br />perennial seeded acres during 1996. It also shows the location, aerial extent and reclamation year of all <br />previously revegetated areas, as well as the projected mature shrub Gump establishment areas, topsoil <br />stripping areas and laydown areas for 1997. <br />1.1 Permittee Identification <br />The Permittee for this annual reclamation report is: <br />Trapper Mining Inc. <br />P.O. Box 187 <br />Craig CO 81828 <br />Permit No. (C-81-010) <br />1.2 Results <br />Table 1.1 and Map(s) 1.0 show the 1996 reclamation results. The various reclamation siages are <br />addressed below in separate subsections. <br />1.2.1 Disturbed Acres <br />In 1998, Trapper disturbed 179.77 acres resulting from topsoil salvage, haulage conidor con- <br />struction, topsoil stockpile construction, sediment pond wnslrudion, and other miscellaneous <br />activities as approved by the Division. <br />1.2.2 Backrilled and Graded Acres <br />Trapper backfilled and graded to final contour (AOC) approximatery 98.81 acres in 1996. <br />These acres were in Ashmore, Derringer and Hawken pits. <br />1.2.3 Topsoiled Acres <br />Trapper retopsoiled 88.25 acres during 1998 in Ashmore, Derringer, and Hawken plts. <br />1.2.4 Seeded Acres <br />There were 86.25 acres seeded to perennial species associated wlth mine plt(s) <br />advancement. <br />
