~~~ <br />(3) (a) The existing structures associated with, the <br />• mine are shown on the O,C. Coal Mine hrea <br />(Exhibit 10) and the Site Topo Nap (Exhibit y). <br />The shed, repair shop, and 'Darrel storage are <br />of non-combustible construction. The cap storage <br />and powder storage are cinder block structures. <br />These structures will be dismantled and removed <br />as part of the reclamation phase. The mobile <br />home (office) and and privy are portable and <br />will be moved at the end of the job. <br />(b) The existine structures for wt,ich there are <br />specific design criteria consist of the sedi- <br />mantation pond and diversion ditches. The <br />calculations used for the design of These <br />structures are included in the O.C.Coal Mine <br />No. 2 Hydrology and Drainage heport (Exhibit 8) <br />and as-built locations are shown on the site <br />plan (Exhibit 11). These structures were con- <br />structed in the summer and fall of 1980. <br />(c) The haulage road on the lower bench has an <br />overall grade of less then l0y and a maximum <br />~,rade of less then 15°x• This road is a county <br />' road, built and maintained by Gunnison County. <br />This road is approximately 30 feet wide and <br />has a gravel surface. The county maintains <br />• the road and plows the snow durning the winter <br />months. The road has good Drainage. <br />The access road ieading to the upper level <br />has an overall grade of less then 1Gi~ and <br />the length of the road exceeding ljo is less <br />then 300 feet long. We maintain this road and <br />keep it well drained of water. The road is <br />approximately 20 feet wide and also has a <br />gravel surface. This road is used by the surface <br />owners as an access road to there property. <br />(4) The construction plans and hydraulic design data <br />for the sedimentation pond and diversion ditches <br />are included in Exhibit 8 and 11. <br />(5) 6- to 12- inches of topsoil were removed and stock- <br />piled when the sedimentation pond was constructed. <br />The stockpile has been seeded and an identification <br />- sign has been installed. <br />(6) No overburden is being removed as a part of the <br />underground mining process. <br />C~ <br />-12- <br />
