REVISED EXHIBIT D
MINING PLAN
(A) Mining will be performed using standard earth moving equipment. Jaw
and cone crushers along with screening plant, ground and stacking
conveyors will be used to process the material. 100% of the material
obtained from the pit wall can be processed through our equipment.
No waste piles will be generated from the mining operation.
(B) Topsoil shall be stripped using motor-graders to help windrow the
materials and paddle wheel scrapers to relocate the material to the
designated area. Earthmoving shall be accomplished using dozers to
push up the material and wheel loader to feed the crushers, or load pit
run directly into over-the-road trucks.
(C) No water diversion or impoundment's are necessary for this operation.
(D) The total area to be mined is 38.4 acres. The area has been separated
into three separate phases. Each area is listed below: We don't
anticipate disturbing more than 16.0 acres at one time.
Phase I 16.05 acres
Phase II 14.50 acres
Phase III 7.85 acres
The mining of the permitted area will be over an indefinite period of time.
The topsoil will be restored on the new side slopes as the pit progresses.
Motor graders and dozers shall be used to rip the pit wall slopes and
scrapers used to redistribute topsoil on the 3H:1V slopes. Topsoil will not
be replaced onto the pit floor in each phase until that phase is complete.
The pit floors will be used to set up the processing equipment and store
aggregate materials. Broadcasting a Crested Wheatgrass seed over the
stockpiled areas shall protect topsoil. Stockpile areas disturbed during the
mining operation shall be reseeded to minimize erosion. Topsoil will remain
in the stockpiles until redistributed in its final location.
