Conclusion
This supplemental PHC analysis indicates that a revised PHC analysis is
neither warranted or necessary for the East Wadge Extension Area. This
conclusion is based on the following. The East Wadge Extension Area
will result in only a 1 percent increase in disturbance within the Bond
Creek drainage. The increased volume of spoil is considerably less as
the disturbance area takes into account that area necessary for
regrading the spoil to approximate original .contour. TDS and flow
values used in the 9/86 PHC analyses for both the Cow Camp and Bond
Creek spoil discharges yield potential Fish Creek TD5 increases in
considerable excess of any calculated (using measured values) to date.
Only 50 percent of the projected impact from Cow Camp discharges has
been measured and any impact from Bond Creek discharges is incalculable
at the present time. Finally, the small calculated TDS changes
calculated for Fish Creek will in no way preclude existing water uses or
result in any water use changes.
•

7-1-3 Revised. 05/16/88
