EXHIBIT D
6.3.4
RECLAMATION PLAN
AVALANCHE CREEK MARBLE & ALABASTER LLC
WHITE HANKS MINE
6.3.4(1)(a) Replacement of Overburden
The White Banks Mine is an underground operation. Overbwden in the usual sense of the term is
not present. Minimal topsoil and weathered alabaster has been and will be removed before
distwbance as described previously and replaced as part of the reclamation process.
6.3.4(1)(b) Maximum Gradient of Reclaimed Slopes
The only slope to be modified in the Main Yazd area southwest of FDR 3 ] 0 is embankment of FDR
310, where an access road to the yazd area will be constructed. This access road will be removed
upon reclamation and the material used to blend the slope into the existing FDR 310 embankment.
Maximum slope will be 3:1.
Slopes on the northeast side of FDR 3 ] 0 will be regraded to blend in with the existing topography,
which is quite steep. Natwal slope angles for the most part exceed 2:1 and in some cases are vertical
or overhanging. Distwbed rock slopes and ledges may be left as exposed, coated as necessary with
an artiScial weathering agent to blend in with adjacent natural exposwes. Other slopes will be graded
to slopes of 3:1 or less except where steeper slopes are necessary to extend and blend into existing
topography.
6.3.4(1)(c) Measures That Will be Taken to Revegetate
6.3.4(1)(c)(I) Plant growth medium
Existing growth medium north of FDR 310 is thin to virtually absent, rocky and gypsiferous
where present (see description of soil units). South of FDR 310 growth medium is thicker
but limited in organic material. Topsoil will be replaced to a thickness of approximately 6
inches on appropriate slopes north of FDR 310, and approximately 12 inches on areas south
west of FDR 310. Topsoil will be measwed after removal for quantity and sampled to
determine amendments required to reestablish vegetation after reclamation, if any.
6.3.4(1)(c)(ii) Seeding schedule, seedbed preparation, application rate, fertilizer
Reclaimed areas and distwbed areas requiring seeding for interim stabilization will be seeded
between October 15 and November I5, or if not seeded during this period (distwbed after
November 30), between April 1 and May I5.
.e.
